Chris Kentish aka Field Theory has always had creativity as a consistent thread in his life - whether art, design or music. Early experiments as a v.young teen with the original 303 and 808 Roland machines led to a lifelong passion for electronic music soon moving onto the Atari ST and Akai Samplers. In the past few years his passion for making music has become more focussed and he decided to take it more seriously working under the name Field Theory and get some releases out. This EP on Secret Life will be his second release following his debut ‘Rituals' on Futureboogie with a further EP following on Chris Massey's excellent Sprechen label. His influences old and new are rom early British synth pop to acid house to classic cinema soundtracks to early Warp records releases along with contemporary artists such as Black Spuma, Craig Bratley, Paranoid London to name a few. Dj support for his music has come from: Matthew Dear, Mr C, Sean Jonston, Richard Norris, Groove Armada and many more.
