Creativity has always been a constant in the life of Chris Kentish aka Field Theory, whether it be art, design or music. Early experiments started as a very young teenager with the original 303 and 808 Roland machines. This led to a lifelong passion for electronic music that soon saw him moving onto the combination of the Atari ST computer and Akai S Series Samplers.

 

In the past few years his passion for making music has become more focussed and Field Theory is the result. This EP follows up the debut ‘Rituals' released on Futureboogie with a further EP following on Chris Massey's excellent Sprechen label.

 

Influences, old and new, come from early British synth pop through to acid house, classic cinema soundtracks, early Warp records releases alongside contemporary artists such as Black Spuma, Craig Bratley and Paranoid London.

 

DJ's on board already include Matthew Dear, Mr C, Sean Jonston, Richard Norris, Groove Armada and Secret Life owners Pete Gooding & Phil Dockerty.
