As one of the most respected DJ’s and promoters on the famed dance music circuit of Leeds. Joe Morris has been involved in the city's underground music scene for over 15 years; regularly throwing diverse parties and bringing exciting new DJ talent to town with his Clandestino party collective. Their visionary booking policy saw them invite Erol Alkan, Tim Sweeney, Simian Mobile Disco, Optimo, Joakim and Todd Terje to the city long before they became the established acts they are today.

 

While not pinned to one particular sound, Joe’s vibe takes in influences from the glory days of Acid House, the melodic elements of Balearica and the freedom of Disco while always being focused at the dance floor.

 

Joe crystallises this mantra into his productions which have enjoyed well received releases on El Diablos Social Club, Paper Recordings, Is it Balearic and now a debut EP with Secret Life Records following his recent remix for José Padilla on the imprint. It’s a heady cocktail that has seen him gig across continents and back again; from tiny smoke filled basements to alfresco festival stages
