Steve Cobby is a UK based artist, record producer and DJ of 30 years standing. He Co-founded Fila Brazillia in 1990 and has released 10 critically acclaimed albums and crated over 70 remixes for artists, as diverse as, Radiohead, Busta Rhymes, Black Uhuru, Simple Minds, James, A Certain Ratio and Moloko. He released 2 solo albums recently under his own name and is also responsible for one of last year's summer anthems, namely Steve Cobby & Trudie Dawn Smith - We Start Over released on International Feel.

 

He now makes his Secret Life debut with vocalist Isobel Helen in the form of ‘Clamour’, the original mixes come in 2 forms, there is the ‘La Torre’ mix a more mellow slice of dreamy electronica, the name of the mix inspired by Steve’s gig at Ibiza’s legendary sunset venue Hostal La Torre and his ‘Pikes Mix’ a beautifully atmospheric deep house take on the original, this was inspired by Steve’s debut Ibiza gig last summer at Secret Life’s Monday night residency at Ibiza Rocks House at Pikes Hotel. The package includes remixes from Mark Brydon (founding member of the band Moloko), Italy's Balearic Gabba Sound System who turn in a beautifully, mellow, down-tempo mix. Then, to complete things, Robot 84 delivers a chuggy, mid-tempo groover and last but not least label owners Pete Gooding and Phil Dockerty deliver a percussive house groove that will be perfect for summer!
